3M Scotch-Weld Positioning Fabric AF 3306-2 is a light-weight non-woven, synthetic cloth for use with Scotch-Weld Brand Adhesive Films. In the manufacture of large bonded areas it is not always possible to achieve perfect match of the component parts on the first attempt. Use of AF 3306-2 between the tacky adhesive and the component enables the fabricator to reposition the parts without destroying the integrity of the adhesive film. AF 3306-2 also serves to vent off entrapped air prior to use in large metal to metal bonding applications.
