3M™ Oil Sorbents are an innovative range of highly absorbent, hydrophobic (water repellent), quality products. Will not disintegrate or sink, even when saturated with oil, and are very easy to dispose of.
The oil-absorbing fleece is made of inert synthetic fibers; the 'T' product consists primarily of polypropylene. This lightweight and dust-free product has a high absorption capacity and minimizes disposal costs. The absorbent booms can be connected to form barriers. These are coupled at both ends and deployed on still or flowing water to contain and absorb oil spills. Suitable for use in rivers or harbors.
